MARIANA LEIMONTAS

Storytelling has always been a part of who I am. From childhood days spent devouring books with my twin sister to scribbling down my own ideas, writing has been my way of making sense of the world. Now, I’m working on my debut science fiction thriller—a project that’s been close to my heart for nearly a decade.

My background is a mix of creativity and structure. I studied Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires and later earned a degree in Scriptwriting from the Instituto de Estudios Radiofónicos (ISER). I never imagined how much these fields would shape my approach to writing, blending visual storytelling with narrative depth.

I still have so much to learn, but I’ve been fortunate to have small moments of recognition along the way. As part of a team, I won the ARGENTORES (Argentine Society of Authors) short-film scriptwriting competition. One of my scripts, The Plot, a historical drama, was even produced by a Canadian radio theater company—something I never expected but am incredibly grateful for.

By day, I work as a front-end web developer, and my interest in technology often sneaks into my stories. I love crafting immersive worlds with strong, dynamic characters, and I hope my writing can offer both entertainment and meaningful representation.

I’m still finding my voice as an author, but I’m excited to keep growing and sharing my stories. When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me exploring new tech developments or losing myself in a good novel.
